Would you like to be part of the excitement of the day but don’t want to run? Why not volunteer to be part of the race crew and help make the event a success? It takes many people to ensure the event runs smoothly, so becoming a volunteer means you play an active role in the overall success of the event, whilst also allowing you to support your friends and family.
Race Crew – Positions that need filling on the day are:
- Course Marshals– making sure the runners stay safely on the course. We require volunteer marshals to operate the event safely, so please support the event and its good causes.
- Water Station Teams– managing and supplying much needed water for the thirsty competitors. We require volunteers to operate these crucial runner support areas.
- Start / Finish Stewards– counting them out and counting them back in! We require volunteers to assist at the start and finish.
You don’t need any experience to take part in the Jersey Round Island Challenge as a volunteer. You just need between 2-4 hours free on Race Day and be willing to join in the fun.
Volunteers should be over the age of 18 on the day of the race or should be part of a recognised group under the supervision of a leader over the age of 18.
Inclement Weather Contingency Plan
For all water based race categories, should the wind be force 4 or above on Saturday 31 August, then the race will be re-scheduled for Sunday 1 September.
